What you may not know is that the 2026 season quietly rearranged itself around a construction fence at City Hall, and the practical answer to "where are we going Friday" is not the same address it was last August.
The thesis of this post is small but useful. The free civic programming in Westlake Village is more organized in 2026 than it has been in several years, and the interesting weekend map now runs along three public anchors that have nothing to do with a club membership: the City Hall courtyard when it is available, Berniece Bennett Park when it is not, and the fountain at The Promenade. Sunday belongs to the farmers market. Everything else is background.
The construction wrinkle worth knowing about
Here is the piece most residents miss until they show up to the wrong parking lot. The City of Westlake Village runs two parallel free summer series, and the 2026 lineup is more programmed than it has been in several years. TGIF Concerts in the Courtyard happen at City Hall, 31200 Oak Crest Drive, and Saturdays in the Park run at Berniece Bennett Park, 31800 Village Center Road. That is the base case. The wrinkle is that a few of the Friday shows have been relocated to Berniece Bennett Park this year because of construction at the City Hall courtyard, which is worth checking on the City of Westlake Village calendar before you leave the house.

Friday: the courtyard, when it is the courtyard
TGIF at City Hall has always been the more architectural of the two settings. Waist-high walls, hard surface underfoot, string lights above, a limited quantity of tables and chairs put out for whoever arrives first. Concerts in the Courtyard begin at 7:00pm. Food trucks open for service beginning at 6:00pm. A limited number of chairs and tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Attendees are welcome to pack their own picnic dinner.
This year the marquee Friday show returns to that courtyard for its regular slot. Friday, August 7: 5-Star Theatricals (This will take place at the City Hall courtyard at 31200 Oak Crest Drive.) If you have never been to a 5-Star night at City Hall, the crowd skews to families who came from an early dinner and neighbors who walked over from the Oak Crest side. Come at six for a food truck line that gets meaningful by six-fifteen.
Saturday, 7 p.m., Berniece Bennett Park
Saturdays are the more traditional picnic. Blanket on grass, chair if you brought one, the shoreline of Westlake Boulevard behind you. Nothing is provided at the park in terms of seating. All Saturdays in the Park Concerts begin at 7:00pm. Food Trucks open for service beginning at 6:00p.m. All attendees are welcome to pack their own picnic dinner and are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs or blankets to the park.
The park sits at 31800 Village Center Road, which is a two-minute drive from most of the western half of the city and a walkable distance from a good chunk of the eastern side. If August evenings are your favorite hour in Westlake Village, this is the standing appointment to hold.
Pack list, refined by August: two folding chairs, a real blanket rather than a beach towel, a wine glass you do not mind losing, cash for the food trucks in case the line for a card reader is doing the thing it does at 6:15, and a small trash bag because the cans by the exit fill up fast.
Saturday, 6:30 p.m., a different kind of Saturday
The Promenade at Westlake runs a parallel program that is the opposite mood. The Promenade at Westlake hosts live music near the fountain on Saturday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 PM, running from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. That is a different vibe: dinner and a drink at a restaurant with the music as background, rather than a picnic on the grass.
The choice between the two is really a choice about what you want the music to do. At Berniece Bennett Park the music is the event, and dinner is the folding table you brought. At The Promenade the music is the ambient layer over dinner at The Grill on the Alley, Paul Martin's, Marmalade Cafe, RED O, or one of the other tenants around the fountain courtyard. Same night, same city, two entirely different sets of instructions for how to spend three hours.
One practical point worth stating plainly. Labor Day weekend closes both windows. If you have been meaning to catch the fountain series at The Promenade, you have four Saturdays in August plus the first weekend in September before it goes quiet until next Memorial Day.
Sunday belongs to Agoura Road

The posted hours are the official hours. The functional hours are earlier. According to the vendor Q&A on the market's Yelp page, Yes! There are several flower vendors. The market opens at 8 am. and Open only on Sunday, many vendors are ready to sell at 8 am. If you have a preferred stone-fruit vendor or a florist you like, the difference between 8:30 and 10:30 is the difference between full trays and picked-over crates on the last Sunday of stone-fruit season.
The lot at 2797 Agoura Road, across from Ralphs, gives you the market plus coffee within walking distance and a straight shot back to Westlake Boulevard. Two hours, one bag of tomatoes, done by lunch.
